How we help
Therapy for Children and Young Adults
Helping a young human develop can come with joys and challenges. At times, it may be difficult to know if our young loved ones are experiencing age-appropriate behavior and emotionality, or if a more significant need is present. If your family seeks clarification or believes your young person may be struggling with an emotional or behavioral disorder, we’re here to help.
We work primarily with children and adolescents age six – 22. Our relationship begins with an intake session for parents/caregivers then typically transitions to individual therapy for the young person. Throughout the course of our work, caregivers are frequently consulted and/or asked to join sessions.
Individual Therapy for Adults
Individual psychotherapy offers a space for adults to explore issues influencing their quality of life. If you are navigating anxiety, depression, or other challenges that are making it difficult for you to function effectively or experience happiness in your day-to-day, Trillium can help. Therapy can develop stamina, persistence and distress tolerance, and support people as they learn the tools to support themselves.
Assessment Services
Trillium Psychological Services offers gifted assessments, ADHD and autism evaluations for children. Feedback is provided regarding the child’s strengths, learning style, educational needs, challenges, and individual characteristics. Personalized interventions are offered.
General psychological evaluations are available for adults to guide therapy, answer referral questions and/or offer a deeper understanding of oneself.
If you or a loved one are experiencing challenges that impact your quality of life, Trillium is here to help.
